This course is held 3 times throughout 2024 and consists of two parts: the fundamentals part on effective communication strategies and an advanced part on specific techniques for managing difficult conversations and conflicts.

There are a total of 10 weekly sessions that you can attend either consecutively or with a break in between. You can choose to complete the foundational part first, take a break to integrate the content, perhaps participate in the monthly practice sessions, and then proceed to the second part.

For example, you can attend Part 1 in February and Part 2 in May or October, or you can start in April and finish in October. The important thing is to complete the course within a 12-month period.

Course Description

In school, we are not taught how to be clear and concise, how to say no, provide feedback, or handle conflicts. At times, we find ourselves struggling to manage emotions and effectively communicate, jeopardizing relationships or missing out on crucial opportunities. Has this ever happened to you?

 

Not to mention dynamics like denial, accusation, blackmail, conflict... which we encounter daily in our personal and professional communications. Sometimes, we lack the appropriate tools to alleviate the stress of these situations. How can we learn to anticipate, reduce, and manage such situations in the most positive way possible?

 

This is an exceptionally practical course that equips you with immediately applicable tools for your daily life. You will have access to techniques, targeted feedback, and opportunities to practice and simulate what you need the most. Course program

10 weekly sessions of 90 minutes each, of which two entirely practical.

During part 1 you will learn how to:

  • Recognize the real objectives of your message,
  • Manage emotions before and during an interaction,
  • Assert yourself, your opinions, and requests clearly,
  • Develop empathy and listening skills to reduce resistance from others,
  • Understand and adapt your communication style to effectively convey your message,
  • Inspire, motivate, and have a more positive impact on others.

During part 2 you will learn how to:

  • Understand dysfunctional dynamics and the roles we play,
  • Anticipate objections, misunderstandings, and divergences,
  • Define personal boundaries and confidently say NO,
  • Maintain composure and focus on results,
  • Manage and reduce misunderstandings and conflicts,
  • Provide constructive feedback and handle difficult communications with clients or suppliers.
